The controller for the processing of personal data on this website, within the meaning of the GDPR, is:

When you open this page

When you open this page, the server processes the technical data your browser sends with the request: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the page you came from, and the browser and operating system identifiers. A page cannot be served without them.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in operating the site reliably and securely. This data is not combined with any other source and is not used to recognise you.

How long the logs are kept depends on our hosting provider’s configuration; see “Processors”.

Language preference

This site stores exactly one cookie, named “wm_locale”. It holds nothing but the code of the language you last read — “de” or “en” — lasts one year, and is set only so that you do not have to switch again on your next visit.

It is a strictly necessary cookie under § 25(2) TDDDG. It requires no consent, which is why there is no cookie banner here. It carries no identifier that could be used to recognise a person, and it is not passed to anyone. You can delete it in your browser at any time.

Our customers’ public career pages do not set this cookie.

Contact form

When you submit the form on the home page, your name, your company, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give one, and your message are sent to us.

None of it is written to a database. It is delivered as an email and afterwards exists only in our mailbox — for as long as we are handling your enquiry and the correspondence needs to remain traceable, and no longer.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns entering into a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry. Providing the details is voluntary; without them we cannot answer.

The form contains a hidden field that only automated senders fill in. It is evaluated and not stored. We use no captcha — it would mean a request to a third party and a barrier for people who rely on assistive technology.

No third parties, no analytics

This page loads nothing from a third-party server: no font from a font provider, no script from a CDN, no map, no embedded video. The typeface it uses is hosted by us.

There is no audience measurement. We use no analytics tools, no advertising networks and no social media widgets. Your IP address is therefore passed to nobody.

Processors

The technical operation of this website is carried out by — not filled in yet —. The servers are located in — not filled in yet —. No transfer to a third country takes place.

Our email runs through — not filled in yet —. An enquiry from the contact form is delivered through that service.

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with both.

Candidate data in the product

This statement covers this website. It does not cover the data processed about candidates inside wematch.

For that data, the controller is the company that advertised the role — not us. There, we are a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. If you applied to a company and want access, rectification or erasure, contact that company; its details are in the imprint and the privacy information on its career page.

If such a request reaches us anyway, we pass it on to the company responsible and do not answer it ourselves. That decision rests with the controller.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18) and to data portability (Art. 20).

Where we process data on the basis of a legitimate interest, you may object to that processing under Art. 21 GDPR.

Send a request to the address above. Independently of that, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); the authority for your place of residence or for our registered office is competent.

Changes to this statement

We update this statement whenever something described here changes about the website. The version that applies is the one in force when you open this page; the date below says when it was last changed.
